Tagatha Christie

March 23rd, 2006

I used to tell myself that I didn’t like to play online games of Tag. After all, Tag (and its gaming counterparts) should be reserved for more appropriate places, like the field of an elementary school during recess, or your grandmother’s backyard. Or so I rationalized to myself. But then one day I realized I liked being Tagged. Always have liked it, actually. Ever since Elementary school. What is more, I find that I thoroughly enjoy reading other people’s responses to being Tagged, and find that often times they can indeed be quite informative! and thus, quite fun! Also, I remembered I had played the game once before and found myself again rationalizing that, as my Tagging cherry has already been popped, why hold out now?

So, in conclusion, I am sometimes a snob. And most often wrong about my initial judgments/assessments/idears when it comes to both myself and others. I’m working on that.

So thanks! Kim for coaxing me into this particular game of Tag. You tag gentler than most.

Four jobs you have had in your life
1. Skyhawks Coach and Camp Director
2. Intramural Activities Coordinator (I got to hire and fire referees, wee!)
3. Call Center Representative (See: Sitting on my bum and conversing with crazy patients off their (rockers and) meds for eight hours a day; The period in my employment history commonly referred to as That Time I Worked In Hades.)
4. Development Director Assistant, a.k.a. That Girl In The Office Who Writes Grants And Helps With P.R. And Marketing, Yes, But Who Also Makes Copies, Staples Documents, Licks Stamps And Dusts Fake Office Plants.

Four movies you could watch endlessly*
1. Eulogy
2. The Goonies
3. The Mummy (Seriously. This is Brendan Frasier’s perfect, most fully-realized role.)
4. So I Married An Axe Murderer
(Parenthetical Runner-Up: Pride and Prejudice. I watched it 6 times before I returned it to the video store.)

Four places you have lived
1. Spokane, WA.
2. Salem, OR.
3. A duplex.
4. Priest Lake, ID.

Four TV shows you love to watch
1. That 70’s Show
2. Buffy (It really is brilliantly written. Seriously! Ok, you can laugh if you want. But I’m serious!)
3. Grey’s Anatomy
4. Project Runway

Four places you have been on vacation

1. California
2. Hawaii: Oahu, and Hilo/Kona
3. Alabama
4. Washington D.C.

Four websites you visit daily

1. The Entertainers
2. WhateverLand
3. Wikipedia
4. Flickr

Four of your favorite words*

1. grandiose
2. lucent
3. (re)furbish
4. tempest (uous)

Four places you would rather be right now
1. Anywhere with this guy, but especially
2. Santorini, Greece
3. Portland, Oregon (hi! Hans, and Powell’s.)
4. the Lake

Four Five people you are tagging during recess
1. Hans
2. A
3. Tara
4. Gilly
5. Christopher

*This topical starting point originally ended in the preposition “over” (as in “over and over”). I have been most unable to bear the ending of sentences with prepositions ever since my sophomore English teacher flunked any paper in which she found such a sentence. The English anal retentiveness, it runs oh so deep.

*Originally was “foods,” but I slightly altered it. Because I can. But really because I have never in my life been able to designate a “favorite” food beyond what was easy to make and/or not cilantro.

the mummy? seriously? okay, i know one of mine is dirty dancing and that’s … youknow … but — THE MUMMY? okay, i’ll get over it…

i like that you changed the food-thing. also, the fact that you used * on two topics for three footnotes makes it kinda confusing and hard to assign. but that could be just me [blond AND german...] — anyhow, thanks for playing along :)

No, that confusion was definitely not just you Kim. It was actually ME, being mostly retarded. There wasn’t supposed to BE a third * at all. So, yes, it probably made no sense when you saw it originally. Should be fixed now.

Also: The Mummy is rad. Don’t lie, you know you want to watch it right now. ;)

    Hi Kerri!
I wandered over from Chris’ site!
LOVE these taggy things. Fun to get to know some of the things that make a person tick (like the Mummy, who would have known?)

    Have a good Friday!

oh yes, greece. yes, let’s go. i mean, not together. we don’t know one another so it would be weird to go to greece together. but you know, let’s go, on our own. then we can talk about it, i guess. that would be alright.

    Alabama?

You can’t go to ALABAMA for VACATION?!?!?!

That’s.. just… WRONG. LIfe is too short… Treat yourself better, you so deserve it.

The mummy IS an excellent movie and Brendon is perfect for the role. for the records I hate him because he’s good looking and talented. the bastard! lol

He’s actually a pretty decent guy. He needs better roles and movies.

I could see him as bat man or an american version of james bond. it could happen.

I would love to go to Santorini—but right now I would even settle for a trip to McDonalds. Reading your tag I noticed that we both appear to be in long-distance relationships as well. Mine=350 miles. I recommend webcams if you two don’t have them yet!
