Dear Brake Repair, Man:
I sincerely appreciate your greasy hands and your greasy face (nice touch, by the way) and your greasy hard work. Especially when said hard work fixed my brakes from the stop. stop. ok, now I’m really stopping. sort of pulsing to which my car had been prone for weeks.
Clearly, you are good at what you do. My car is like new. Or, you know, the brake pads, and rear shoes, and two drums you replaced are like new. (Merry! Christmas to us, whee.) The rest of my car is pretty much the same, complete with The Joy of Cooking (Ha!) resting in the backseat (Where I do all of my best cooking, of course.) and all.
Switching gears, I bring you, the most productive thing I did all day (save for drop a large wad of cash into the greasy goodness that is my now-fixed car):
I love how it looks like I clumped the lights together in the middle of the tree, and then again near the top. I swear it doesn’t look like that, really, but then again, at this point I wonder if maybe I’m losing my light-stringing mind.

Is there anything more fun that big car repairs before Christmas? I don’t think so! In fact, it’s so much fun that we decided to do it TWICE, Tom’s car needed a new thermostat and other coolanty things a few weeks ago and now? i need new tires! Tires for Christmas! Hooray!
Your tree is lovely. Do not think of the lights as clumped up. Think of them as, um, having a party! That’s it! A Christmas party!
Funny…our car is in the shop right now getting repaired after the exhaust blew on it yesterday. Merry Christmas to all! :)
Very pretty tree! i like the bear ornament hanging on the bottom branch. ;) I’m the light stringer-upper too and boy do the arms get tired! Looks like your arms had quite the work out! Love all the lights!

wow, i can’t believe you already have a tree. in germany the first time to light the candles on the tree (= the day it’s brought in and decorated) is usually christmas eve. but C is so gonna make me get one a lot sooner this year. he’s x-mas-crazy and we already have some decoration up in the apartment. it’s not even december… oh well, ’tis the season i guess (or will be soon anyway) and i like it SO MUCH BETTER this year than the last four years! big, happy smooch to you! :)
