No Cats Were Harmed In The Making Of This Verbal Exchange

(I hear giggling from the other side of the office. And then: outright laughing.)
“What IS that?”
“It’s Jingle Dogs. I used to have this CD.”
“Wow.”
“It’s dogs, BARKING the song ‘Jingle Bells.’”
“Um, yeah. I got that.”
“Hey, I think I just heard a cat.”
“Those cheaters.”
What? There’s actually a CD of that song? I thought it was just created for some commercial. Like, a dog food commercial or something.
Oh no Jes. It’s actually out there. The joy of having kids is that this is the ONE song that has to be heard over. and over. and. over. Have A Fun Christmas. It’s on this cd. Along with Twelve Days of Christmas by Bob and Doug McKenzie. Though we have to not play that one or else the 2 and 5 year old will go around saying “beer”.
