I bring you…The Rack O’ Movies:

entirerackofmovies.jpg

And, because I know I would be curious as to the actual titles resting within said movie rack (and am of course curious to know what movies rest in YOURS. Ahem. Cough, cough.), a closer look (and yes I alphabetize my movies in the rack. And, somewhat sadly, no, I did not alphabetize them just for the pictures. I am just that anal, ALWAYS. And yes, you better believe the bookshelves are alphabetized and categorized by type of literature. Lame and nerdy: Oh, how I know! it. Somebody save Chris, quick!):

Row, The First:
firstrowBEST.jpg
Anchorman, Bewitched, Blue Crush, Bring It On, Chicago, D2 & D3 (The Mighty Ducks; don’t judge me), Elf, Eulogy (best movie EVER. No, really: ever.), Finding Nemo, Garden State, The Goonies, Harry Potter (the first), The Incredibles, Intolerable Cruelty, The Italian Job, LOTR (the first), MissCongeniality, The Mummy Returns

Row, The Second:

secondrowmovies.jpg
My Name Is Noboby, TheNet, Pirates, Runaway Bride, Runaway Jury, Raising Arizona, Reservoir Dogs, Romeo & Juliet, Say Anything, Secretary, Shrek, So I Married An Axe Murderer (Mike Myers just doesn’t get any funnier than this movie), Sylvia, Twister, You’ve Got Mail, X-Men, Zoolander

Row, The Third:
thirdrowmoviesactual.jpg
10 Things I Hate About You (AWESOME. And filmed in Seattle), Anastasia, As Good As It Gets, BadBoys, BeCool, Charlies’Angels (thefirst), Cheaper By The Dozen, Congo, FernGully (If you have ever heard of this movie/seen it, speak up! please! You and I are a rare breed for certain), Ferris Buellers’ Day Off

Row, The Fourth:
thirdrowmovies.jpg
First Knight, Gone In 60 Seconds, Harry Potter (the second), High Crimes, Hope Floats, Jurassic Park, Million Dollar Baby, Moulin Rouge, The Mummy, Outbreak

Row, The Last:

lastrowmovies.jpg
The Pagemaster, Remember The Titans, Robin Hood, The Rock, Sahara (It was funny! I swear), The Saint, Shakespeare In Love, Sister Act 2, Sweet Home Alabama, Tommy Boy, TopGun

My favorites of the rack (and Chris is shuddering even as I write this):

1. Bring It On*
2. Eulogy
3. Garden State
4. The Incredibles
5. The Mummy/The Mummy Returns*
6. Runaway Jury
7. So I Married An Axe Murderer
8. Anastasia*
9. Fern Gully*
10. The Goonies
11. Moulin Rouge
12. Outbreak
13. Gone In 60 Seconds*
14. The Rock
15. Tommy Boy

* denotes (seemingly involuntary) shuddering on behalf of Chris.

Movie Rack Trivia:
The Pagemaster was one of the few movies I saw in the theater with my dad. It’s also probably the only movie starring Maculay Culkin that I can still watch without wanting him to be mute.

Wherein I Feel The Need To Defend Myself Against An Invisible (Probably Non-Existent; Unless, That Is, You Are Siding With Chris) Attack Against One Of My Favorites: The Mummy is honestly a really! good movie. I know probably none of you believe me, but I’m telling you! It’s funny! And well-written! And stars Rachel Weisz!

If you don’t believe me, you should rent it. If you don’t laugh at least ten times, you just might be a mummy.

I have seen Ferngully, I love the movie Anastasia (the cartoon version) and The Mummy is one of my all time favorites…it is hilarious.

Though I am disappointed that among your collection isn’t a copy of A Knight’s Tale…

    :)

Kassi, THANK you. It makes me warm and fuzzy inside to know I am not alone in thinking The Mummy hilarious. And, I have indeed seen A Knight’s Tale, but I’ll be honest: That lass, the love-interest of Mr. Ledger? She SCARED me, what with all the feathers and bright colored dresses and what not. ;) But yes, I agree: pretty funny, indeed.

Anastasia! and Pagemaster! *sigh* I love you! :) And yes! The Mummy is a good movie!

LOL We actually just had a huge discussion over movies at my house. Stephen ended up separating his “cool” movies from my girly ones. :) Oh well. I stand by my movies. Cool or not!

I love! that you, too, have seen the Pagemaster. Oh! how the geek in me just became overly excited. “Horror” was always my favorite book. He’s so cute, and well, wobbly.
