Sneak Peek Sunday: Antique & Thrift Storing Edition
What’s better than scoring vintage paper products at an antique store you have been long salivating over visiting?
Scoring said paper products with a friend who was similarly salivating over visiting the same store, and who shares your sentiments about African tribal masks like these being awesome but a bit less than comforting:

After I realized I could afford nothing beyond these amazingly detailed cards inspired by children’s storybooks of yore:

I entertained myself by perusing aisle after aisle laden with (large) armoire after (larger) armoire, and creepy mask after creepier mask, stopping to document both equally, and all of the eclectic pieces in between:

Next we trekked to two local thrift stores, and, well, there was just too much used entertainment to photograph:

Thankfully Meggan forgave me for being completely ridiculous with the picture-taking and even humored me when I turned the camera in her direction:

She’s a very good sport, indeed, and during our thrift store shopping spree she also bought the Christmas with Julie Andrews album, which, if I’m being honest, sort of made my day.

Sounds like a lovely Sunday afternoon :)
Someone I know had that Julie Andrews Christmas album when I was little. I can’t remember if it was my parents or not, but MEMORIES!
Looks like a fun day!
Meggan is so cute. And I’m glad you guys are having fun!
So fun! I love going thrift store shopping and tiptoeing through antique shops!
I’m a sucker for funky lamps, old cameras and skeleton keys.
Great pictures! Looks like fun :)
oh my gosh !!! so much deliciousness!!!!
For no real reason, I’m in love with that little wooden duck (goose?).
Good lord I am a dork. And now the Internets know that I enjoy Julie Andrews on occasion. :)
There were a lot of wacky-ass things in that antique store, but I am still lusting over those Indian Christmas ornaments.
