Wherein I Post Before And After Photos

I bring you: The photos I totally meant to post before we left for our Easter weekend getaway, but didn’t, because have I mentioned how long it takes me to pack? Multiple outfits, people. Multiple outfits.

The Before Hair:

I call it The Do Nothing And Let It Get Too Long stage. Feel free to “ick” and “gross!” and “ugh.” I totally did.

The After Hair, Please Ignore The Cleave:

I’m still getting used to the side-swept bangs, and even though I know you cannot see it, and apparently I cannot photograph it, there is a lighter auburn-brown color woven throughout the top and sides, the remnants of my pleas to “Make me blonde! Or light brown! No, wait, blonde!”

Thankfully those pleas fell on wise and thus, deaf ears, because my hair was Black Of Night BLACK when I walked into the salon.

My stylist (Hi! Laura) was endlessly awesome, and endlessly patient with me, and explained (while I stared longingly at her bright blue hair) that the process of coming back to my natural, much lighter color, should be a gradual one, lest I completely fry and successfully annihilate all of my hair.

    I’m a fan too! A new haircut feels so great, doesn’t it? :-)

    It took me about a year to train my sideswept bangs to stay sideswept, and for me to get used to them, but it was worth it.
