A Link-Laden Week In Review
This week was admittedly tough for me, but in my experience even the most melancholy weeks are never devoid of a few hearty guffaws, which is admittedly quite awesome, as a life without hearty guffaws is no life at all.
Below are some fantastic nouns that made the past few days much more jovial than they would have been sans Internets:
1. This post, followed directly by this post on Jen’s site, wherein she shows us her stellar tap moves, and her husband shows us why he can kick Chef Ramsey’s hot-crossed buns, respectively.
2. Helen Jane’s participation in Nablopomo’s “Letters” theme. I’m such a fan of letters, of both the missive and alphabet varieties. She combines both! for a beautiful mixture of whimsy and sage advice, advice offered from the vantage of a doting mother to her unborn child.
3. Proof of impending Spring, no matter the amount of ridiculous and blasphemous snow warnings.
4. Receiving an unexpected bundle of chocolately hedgehog goodness from lovely Angella, whose pictures of her beautiful family never cease to give me joyful pause and make me consider having a kiddo (or seven) of my own. I’m kidding about that seven part. I think. Yes, Chris says I’m definitely kidding.
5. The fantastic debut of Five Star Friday! Complete with shimmering banner design!
6. This picture. No, seriously, click that link. I’m not even kidding. It will make your day. Legal disclaimer: You are not allowed to sue me if you die of cute sensory overload.
Updated to add: 7. Sarah and her Hair Thursdays being featured in The New York Times Fashion & Style section yesterday. Huzzah!
Happy! Friday, all.

I am approaching the fifth anniversary of my son and am not convinced that it is ever going to get any easier, either. (I’m so sorry I missed the previous post. I was on a break due to my own life suck).
Tons of hugs and empathy for you.
And? Those little chocolate hedgehoggies SAVED me this week. One of the few things to smile about. Angella is the biggest sweetie on the planet. I cannot wait to see her at BlogHer. Are you going???
Thanks for the link love, babe! I’m so glad my being silly could brighten up your week. And yes, Roth has amazing knife skillz to be envied by all. He’s a kitchen ninja, that guy.
Have I ever told you how I like when you say “babe”? Cuz I do!
I sent that pic to my friends. They are total pug nuts.
Awww…You and Loralee have MADE MY NIGHT. As has that photo from #6.
I WANT THAT PUPPY.
Also. Seven kids? NOT A GOOD IDEA. Three is enough to kill you. Or at least leave you badly maimed. Trust me.
I’m sorry you’ve had a rough week. Huge hugs!
Sorry you had a rough week! Hope this weekend (of, um, working) made it better. We work together, yet apart!
