Do you know what that first purple one is called? We have some like that and they aren’t doing well, but I don’t know what to do about it because I get no useful info if I google “sickly purple flowers”.

Also? We recently replaced our toaster with a toaster oven, which is so much better, because in addition to toast (and poptarts)? YOU CAN BAKE COOKIES IN THERE. 2-4 at a time. Just right.

Oh-em-gee I wish I would have thought to register for a house elf. That would have been so amazingly rad and awesome. As it stands, I registered for a ton of sheets and towels that were desperately needed and I think I ended up with one large bath towel from my grandmother, which was a riot. “Hey! You’re getting married! Here is one towel you can (apparently) share.” Fortunately we did end up with a set or two of nice sheets so we can actually rotate sets now. Hee.

Re: the gardening - I helped my mom plant some things right before the wedding and I was embarrassed to admit that I could totally see why people get into gardening. It is like design! With plants! And as long as you don’t kill them, they look lovely! And now I am sort of on the lookout for a garden nursery in our neighborhood.

So sorry you’ve been sick - I want to invite you and Chris over for a game night soon! Maybe this coming weekend? I have Scrabble and Apples to Apples! I was going to ask about this weekend but Chris came into Daniel’s coffeeshop and they were talking about how you were deathly ill and then it seemed like a bad idea. I will probably email you closer to next weekend to chat about it. :)

I have been known to cook hash browns in a toaster… bit messy, but easier than breaking out the fry pan… bit of a fire hazard though… so keep it away from any window dressings… ahem.
